We had hundreds of entries into our Competition to win a Private Pilot’s Licence (LAPL). Thank you all so much for taking the time to get in touch to tell us about your experiences in aviation and ultimately why we should pick you. Well over time we narrowed down a short list and picked a winner!
David Walker is our lucky winner.
Here is a little bit about David. We look forward to starting his training soon.
Dorset based David Walker spent 38 years working as a technician in the Theatre, Film and TV industry. It has always been his ambition to take to the skies but said “life always got in the way”. In addition to long distance rally driving across the globe, he’s taken part in a charity skydive, flown a 1943 Stearman and taken the controls of a Robinson R22 helicopter. Sadly, David lost his beloved wife, Laura to cancer in February 2020 which left a devastating impact. But is now hoping to rebuild things once more as he gets to achieve his biggest ambition to date.
