We have made the difficult decision to close the entire airfield from 5pm on the 21st March. This has come about after a lot of deliberating, but ultimately we feel that we cannot stay open, and still comply with the most recently issued Government guidelines. As always the safety of our customers and staff is of the highest priority. As and when these guidelines change then we will of course revisit this decision, and hope to be fully open as soon as we possibly can.
We are really grateful to the Government for providing income support for our employees, however we will still along with everyone else, suffer from this closure. You can get flight experience vouchers on our website if you wish, that will be valid for two years, and which can be redeemed at the airfield as soon as we are open again. Those that have current vouchers, we will extend them free of charge for a further six months to compensate for the down time. Please just get in touch as soon as everyone is given the go ahead to operate again.
Thanks to all our lovely staff for being so understanding recently, and thanks to the customers that have supported us. We hope that you all manage to stay safe, well and happy over the coming weeks (hopefully not months!) and will really look forward to seeing you all when we are back to normality. One of the directors will be manning the emails so please let was know if you have any questions at all in the meantime.
The Compton Team.
